KEEP IT SIMPLE: Cubby spaces are small and just the right size for the students. We want to make it easy for children to store items in their cubbies. Please be thoughtful about your purchases and only send essential items to school. By limiting the items that come to school, it makes it easier for the children to keep their cubbies tidy.
FOR ALL STUDENTS: Please label personal items with your child’s name.
- Change of clothing – 2 complete sets: socks, undergarments, seasonal pants and top
- Plastic shoe box with lid. (6 quart size). This bin will be used to store extra sets of clothes. Returning students can simply reuse their boxes from last year.
- Indoor Athletic Shoes that will also be used for gym class – Indoor shoes should be the correct size, snug but comfortable and will be stored at school. We wear indoor shoes in the classroom and change back into our outdoor shoes for outdoor playtime and dismissal. ( NO sandals, flip flops, backless shoes, or light-up shoes)
- School Bag/Backpack – No toys, keychains, accessories. Make sure the backpack is large enough to fit folders, lunch boxes, seasonal items (hats, mittens, sunglasses…).
- Plastic 2 pocket folder: This folder will be stored in their school bag
- PICTURE OF YOUR CHILD: The photo will be taped to your child’s cubby. Please send just 1 photo.
- No Water Bottles needed for the morning work cycle with younger students.
We have filtered water and clean glasses in the classroom. Children practice Grace and Courtesy lessons on how to pour a glass of water using a pitcher.
FOR OUR COMMUNITY SUPPLY OF CONSUMABLES: These items will be stored in our supply closet. We use these supplies to continuously restock items on our art shelves/Practical Life shelves for the whole classroom to use. Your children love creating beautiful art!
- Prang or Crayola Water Colors
- Ticonderoga Pencils, 12ct
- Washable Markers, 10ct, Broad Tip. (Any brand, as long as they are washable)
- Washable Markers, 10ct, Fine Tip (Any brand, as long as they are washable)
- Art Supply donations: If you come across any free art, craft, or sewing supplies that you think the school may be able to use, please let us know.
FOR KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS:
- Bento box or lunch box – Please use a thermos for hot items and ice packs for cold items.
- Water Bottle: Child-sized, spill proof “friendly”.
Pencil pouch with art supplies: a pack of 24 crayons and a 24 pack of colored pencils, and scissors. Please label the pouch with your child’s name.
