RELIGION PROGRAM INFORMATION AND REGISTRATION 2025-2026
Ruffing Montessori School offers a Catholic religion program with the goal of assisting you in forming your children in the Christian faith. Our program provides a weekly class outside of the main classroom during school hours for elementary and middle school students.
Although children of all faiths are welcome to participate in our program, our catechists teach the principles of the Roman Catholic Church. First, second, and third grade classes use the Montessori Catechesis of The Good Shepherd method. Fourth and fifth grade classes use Gospel Weeklies to draw the students more deeply into scripture and the Church’s liturgical life. Sixth, Seventh, and Eighth grade classes continue to study scripture as well as becoming familiar with the four pillars of the Catholic Church: the creed, the sacraments, life in Christ, and prayer.
To register your child(ren), please complete the form below. The fee is $70.00 per child. This can be paid via SMART Tuition or by check.
FIRST COMMUNION, RECONCILIATION, AND CONFIRMATION:
If you plan to have your child receive First Reconciliation, First Communion, or Confirmation, you need to contact your home parish. Many of the parishes begin their preparations at the beginning of the school year, so it is important to contact them as soon as possible. We do prepare the second-year students for their First Reconciliation and First Communion but there may be additional classes and events that your parish requires. Confirmation preparations must be done through your parish. Some parishes are beginning this preparation as early as the seventh grade.
