Ruffing Montessori School dedicates itself to providing a quality Montessori education for children aged three through fourteen. The school, founded in 1959, has been a pioneer in the Montessori approach to education in Ohio and in the United States. Ruffing was the second Montessori school in the United States at both the pre-primary and elementary levels. In 1977, Ruffing became the first Montessori school in Ohio to be accredited by the state to operate through the eighth grade.

The Multimedia class is a year-long initiative taken on my the 8th grade class. Five groups of 4-6 students each select a non-profit in Northeast Ohio for whom they produce a 3-5 minute video that is often used for marketing or fundraising activities. 

Each group presents their video at the Premier and shares their experience and learnings.

The Learning Garden
Started in 2008 as an empty patch of grass behind the school, the Learning Garden has turned into an outdoor classroom that is a true extension of the school.
